Summary The banks of Dhundi canal in Rajanpur start breaking despite millions spent on repairing.
The flood in 2010 that displaces millions of people also affected Dhundi canal.The embankments of this canal were concreted as per South Punjab Development Schemes and Rs 84 million was spent on this project but when water was left in the canal its banks started leaking.The residents of the area protested against the breakage of canal banks.They said that they complained several times to the authorities concerned about the material used during the repairing but no action had been taken.
