Summary Police foiled a bid to smuggle heavy quantity of ammunition to Punjab.
As per details, police deployed at Inqalab Road stopped a vehicle in the area of Budhber that some unidentified armed men started firing on them.Security men retaliate in the same manner and also chased the accused who escaped leaving behind their vehicle on the site of occurrence.Later, police searched vehicle and recovered heavy quantity of arms including 10,000 cartridges, 13 rifles and 26 magazines.Heavy contingent have cordoned off the area to trace the actual accused.
