Summary The girl accused of throwing acid on her fianc was sentenced to 34 years in prison.
Rukhsana, 24, resident of Chishtian was engaged with Naveed from Faisalabad. A family matter caused rift and ultimately parents of the boy refused to wed their son to her. Being irritated over her disappointment, Rukhsan went to Faisalabad from Chishtian and threw acid on the face of her fiancé. The victim’s father tried to save his son but the infuriated girl also assaulted him with dragger. Proceeding of case continued for one and a half year in the Anti Terrorism Court which sentenced the girl to 34 years.
