Summary Pakistan government decided not to handover Dr Shakil Afridi to the US.
Pakistani government Thursday decided not to handover Dr Shakil Afridi to the US, rather action would be taken against him in Pakistan under Frontier Crime Regulation (FRC), sources revealed.Well-placed sources told Online Dr. Shakil Afridi identified the presence of Chief, Al-Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden in Abbotabad.After identification of Bin Laden by Dr. Afridi and operation of US security forces in Abbotabad on the compound of the Chief Al-Qaeda, there was a great pressure on Pakistan in order to handover Dr. Shakil Afridi to the US government.In reply, after high-level meeting and consultation of the military and civil government officials, it was decided that Dr. Shakil Afridi would not be handed over to the US government rather Pakistan would take action legally against him under Frontier Crime Regulation (FRC).Sources further said that in this regard the US Officials offered attractive incentives, however, Pakistani government rejected the offer.In connection of cases under the Foreign Act against the widow of Osama Bin Laden and other members, some of their relatives also contacted to the Pakistani government while visas were also stamped on their passports, however, now they do not know about these passports, sources disclosed.
