The supply of ghee and oil was suspended last week after burning of four oil tankers in Karachi and the mills owners had announced to observe strike till indefinite period.The crisis is worsening as the while wholesalers stocks are decreasing. The prices of ghee and edible oil have increased by Rs 15 to Rs 20 per Kilogram.In Lahore, The price of ghee has reached Rs 180 per kilogram with an increase of Rs 10 while the ghee dealers in Faisalabad took advantage of the situation and created artificial shortage. They are charging their favourite rates. The citizens are forced to buy substandard ghee and oil of unregistered companies.The talks between the government and ghee mills owners are underway while the sources say that the ghee and oil mills owners strike is expected to end within next 48 hours.
