Summary Standing Committee on Petroleum formed 3 committees for degree checking and ODGCL irregularities.
A meeting of theNational Assembly Standing Committee on Petroleum was held in Islamabad headed by Sardar Talib Nikai.The committee while expressing dissatisfaction over the briefing given about financial irregularities in Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) formed a 4-member committee led by Rana Afzal to probe into the matter.The committee also constituted two sub-committees for rechecking degrees of 63 employees of OGDCL.Advisor on Petroleum Dr Asim Hussain said that OGRA is responsible for change in prices and it is not under the Ministry of Petroleum. However, committee member Hanif Abbasi asserted that OGRA works under the ministry.
