Summary LHC has said that no prisoner could be detained after completion of punishment.
When Justice Manzoor Malik conducted hearing of the case, the counsel for the petitioner said that Indian prisoner Sirjeet Singh detained in Kot Lakhpat Jail, Lahore has completed his punishment yet he has not been released which is absolutely illegal and unconstitutional.The counsel for the federal government requested the court for more time. The court while showing bitterness has ordered the lawyer to submit justification on next date on March 12.The court was adjourned.
