Summary Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan has said that street crimes in Karachi have decreased.
Talking to media after a meeting regarding street crimes in Karachi, Wasan said that street crimes ratio has decreased by 17 percent in Karachi while police have been directed to end street crimes on priority basis.Responding to a question, Manzoor Wasan said that Sindhis have also been deprived of their rights for a long time like people in Balochistan due to which the extremists took advantage and made explosions.He said assassinations of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto increased sense of deprivation in Sindh while the current behavior of some forces with President Zardari has further intensified this notion.While commenting on police efficiency, he said that 17 police encounters occurred during last 15 days.Manzoor Wasan added that 4500 more appointments will be made in police department.
