ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan's Ambassador-designate to Turkiye Amna Baloch called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Saturday.

Ishaq Dar underscored the special importance Pakistan attaches to its close and brotherly relations with Turkiye.

He emphasized further deepening the strategic partnership, particularly in defence and security, trade, investment, education, and people-to-people exchanges.

Appreciating Ambassador Amna Baloch's dedicated service and valuable contributions as foreign secretary, Ishaq Dar expressed confidence that her experience will contribute to further strengthening Pakistan-Turkiye relations.

Earlier, Salman Sharif, Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Germany, also called on Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The DPM congratulated him on his appointment and underscored the importance of further deepening Pakistan–Germany relations, particularly by expanding economic cooperation and promoting trade and investment.

He also emphasized that close engagement with the Pakistani diaspora in Germany, support for their welfare, and the provision of efficient consular services must remain key priorities for the Embassy.

Dar appreciated Salman Sharif’s work in his last assignment as Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office and wished him every success in his new assignment.
