Summary Lower courts issued arrest warrants of 500 policemen over non provision of witness and challan.
Last day, the Supreme Court has taken notice of delay tactics adopted by police under the guise of legal procedure.Following the apex court, lower courts while reviewing the pending cases have taken stern action against police officers over their negligence in producing witness and challan of the accused despite court orders. In this regard, the courts have released arrest warrants of 500 police employees and ordered the CCPO and DIG Investigation to take stern action the officers who don’t follow court orders.
