Summary Pakistan’s FM Ishaq Dar held separate calls with Turkish and Saudi counterparts to discuss regional developments, mutual interests, and the upcoming R4 meeting, agreeing to stay closely engaged.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Friday held separate telephone conversations with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, discussing regional developments and matters of mutual interest.
During his conversation with Hakan Fidan, Dar and the Turkish foreign minister exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and discussed issues of common interest. They also reviewed upcoming diplomatic engagements, including the forthcoming meeting of the R4.
In his separate call with Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Dar congratulated his Saudi counterpart on the consensus election of Mauritania’s Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed as the new Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The two foreign ministers also discussed regional developments and matters of mutual interest, including preparations for the upcoming R4 meeting. They agreed to maintain close coordination and engagement on issues of shared concern.
