The CJP also said if police officers are put behind bars for a day, they would realize the hardship.Two-member bench of the Supreme Court led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry conducted hearing of a case when he was told that the accused has been detained for eight months without a challan.On this, the court issued a short notice to the IG Punjab Habibur Rehman and ordered him to appear before the court.While scolding police officials, the Chief Justice said that if police officers are jailed for a day, they would realise the rigorous. The court also said would it be good if all the accused whom challans have not been produced in court are freed.
