MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) – The results of AJK phase third election have started pouring in, with an unofficial and unconfirmed result of LA-14 Bagh 1, showing Muslim Conference chief Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan losing his hometown seat to Sajid Iqbal of the Jammu & Kashmir Awami Dast-o-Bazu party.

Constituency LA-14 Bagh 1 Unofficial results from all 214 polling stations in LA-14 Bagh district have been received, according to which a major upset has emerged. Muslim Conference chief Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan was defeated in his native seat. This seat has been won by Sardar Sajid Iqbal of Jammu and Kashmir Dast O Bazu Party. Sajid Iqbal received 40,702 votes while Sardar Attique received 19,542 votes. Thus, Sajid Iqbal received more than double the votes of Sardar Atiq.
LA-16 BAGH 3
According to the unofficial and unofficial results of 84 out of 186 polling stations in LA-16 Bagh 3, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan of the PML-N is leading with 9,243 votes, while Sardar Qamar Zaman Khan of the PPP is in second place with 7,144 votes.

According to the unofficial and unofficial results from 45 out of 213 polling stations, PPP's Zia Qamar is in first place with 5200 votes, while PML-N's Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas is in second place with 2244 votes.
LA 17 BAGH 4
According to the unofficial and unconfirmed results from 2 of the 199 polling stations, Chaudhry Mohsin Aziz of the PML-N is in first place with 443 votes, while Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore of the PPP is in second place with 344 votes.
More than 460,000 registered voters were eligible to cast their ballots in the four constituencies. The constituencies participating in the third phase include LA-14, LA-15, LA-16 and LA-17, where a total of 82 candidates are contesting the elections.
According to Election Commission officials, polling began at 8am and continued uninterrupted until 5pm. After the close of polling, election staff started counting votes at the respective polling stations.
Initial results are expected to emerge as the counting progresses.

According to the Chief Election Commissioner, polling in constituencies of Poonch and Sudhanoti districts has been postponed.
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Election Commission has revised the schedule for the third phase of the 2026 general elections, postponing polling in Poonch and Sudhanoti districts due to the prevailing law and order situation.
Under the original schedule, polling was to be held on 11 seats across four districts of the Poonch Division on August 10. However, the Election Commission announced that third-phase voting will now be conducted only in Bagh and Haveli districts, while polling in all constituencies of Poonch and Sudhanoti has been deferred.
PML-N to secure two-thirds majority in AJK, says Rana Sanaullah
The Election Commission said the revised schedule was issued in view of the security situation, adding that a new polling date for the postponed constituencies will be announced after reviewing the prevailing conditions.
The first and second phases of the AJK general elections were held on July 27 and August 2 in the Mirpur and Muzaffarabad divisions, respectively.
According to confirmed results, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has emerged as the leading party in the elections. Prime Minister's Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah said the party had secured a simple majority and was set to form the next government in Azad Kashmir.
The second phase of polling was held across 21 constituencies, including nine seats in the Muzaffarabad Division and 12 reserved seats for Kashmiri refugees residing in Pakistan. Unofficial results showed the PML-N winning 15 seats, while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) secured six.
In the first phase of the elections, the PML-N won nine constituencies, while the PPP secured four seats, according to provisional and unofficial results.
Both phases were accompanied by allegations of rigging and violence from the PPP. Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari described the elections as neither free nor fair and alleged widespread irregularities.
The PML-N rejected the allegations, with Rana Sanaullah challenging the PPP to present evidence before the Election Commission. He said allegations of rigging should be supported by proof rather than political claims.
