Summary Security forces killed 10 alleged Indian-sponsored militants in separate operations in South Waziristan and Dir. Weapons were recovered, and clearance operations remain underway, ISPR said.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Security forces have killed ten terrorists belonging to Indian-sponsored “Fitna-Al-Khwarij” in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

In first encounter, a group of terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy attempted to attack security forces check posts in general area Azam Warsak, South Waziristan District. The attempt was effectively thwarted by own troops. During ensuing fire exchange, eight militants were killed through effective and precise engagements by own troops.

In another encounter that took place in Dir District, own troops successfully neutralized two more terrorists.

Weapons and ammunition have also been recovered from killed Indian sponsored khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area.

ISPR said relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid rich tribute to the security forces for killing ten Indian-backed terrorists of Fitna-al-Khawarij during successful operations in South Waziristan and Dir district.

The president and prime minister, in their separately issued statements, reaffirmed the entire nation’s unwavering support and pride in the sacrifices of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, reiterating the resolve that the nefarious designs of Indian-sponsored terrorist elements would be foiled at all costs

President Zardari praised the professional expertise of the security forces for successfully thwarting the terrorist attack in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan.

He said that the entire nation stood firmly behind its brave security forces and law enforcement agencies, holding their sacrifices against terrorism in high esteem.

Prime Minister Shehbaz, who is currently in Saudi Arabia on a three-day visit, praised the security personnel for the successful operation, and said that the entire nation took immense pride in the professional capability, courage, and sacrifices of the armed forces.

He said that the anti-terror actions under the Operation Azm-e-Istehkam would continue with full resolve until the complete elimination of terrorism from the country.

The prime minister reaffirmed that the government and the nation stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the security forces in the ongoing war against terrorism. 

Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi  paid tribute to the security forces for eliminating 10 Khawarij terrorists during operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In a statement, the minister said the sacrifices of the security forces and operations against terrorism would continue until the menace of terrorism was completely eradicated.

He said the brave armed forces of Pakistan were working day and night to ensure peace and stability in the country.

“The entire nation is proud of the courage, bravery and professional capabilities of its valiant soldiers,” he said.

Hanif Abbasi reaffirmed that operations against Fitna al-Khawarij and their facilitators would continue until the last terrorist was eliminated.

He said the nation stood firmly behind its security forces in their fight against terrorism and appreciated their sacrifices for the protection of the country.
