MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) – The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has suspended the Deputy Commissioner of Kotli, Raja Imran Shaheen, and SSP Kotli, Adeel Ahmed Langrial, over alleged failure to maintain law and order and negligence in the discharge of their official duties.
According to official sources, the action was taken after the two officers were found to have failed to effectively manage the district's security situation and administrative responsibilities.
The government has appointed Osman Sarim as the new Deputy Commissioner of Kotli.
Officials said the new appointment is expected to help improve administrative affairs and strengthen law and order in the district through immediate corrective measures.
The government also made it clear that negligence in ensuring the safety of citizens and upholding the rule of law would not be tolerated, adding that further steps to improve administrative performance are also expected.
