MIRPUR, Azad Kashmir (Dunya News) - Mobile phone and internet services have begun to resume in Mirpur and surrounding areas of Azad Kashmir after remaining suspended for 45 days.
According to local reports, telecom and internet connectivity started returning in parts of Mirpur and nearby localities on Wednesday, bringing relief to residents and businesses that had been affected by the prolonged disruption.
The restoration process is under way, and services are expected to be reinstated gradually across the remaining affected areas.
Earlier, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said he had received reports that internet and digital communication services in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, would be restored soon.
The suspension of mobile and internet services had disrupted communication, online businesses, educational activities and digital transactions across the region over the past month and a half.
