Punjab government reinstated suspended senior doctors of Punjab Institute of Cardiology after protest of young doctors and order of the Supreme Court.Moreover, American laboratory also declared Isotab medicine injurious to health.Earlier, the Young Doctors Association (YDA) called off their strike after the Supreme Court (SC) assured that their problems would be addressed soon.The YDA said that now there is no question of continuing the strike as the court has assured us that our demands would be fulfilled.The young doctors continued their strike on the fifth consecutive day and protested against suspension of their seniors over the issue of spurious drugs at PIC.Many patients suffered due to the strike as they were unable to get treatment in the hospitals. The patients appreciated the doctors’ decision and expressed their best wishes for them.The YDA representatives said that they resumed the duties in emergency wards because they did not want to increase the miseries of already sufferings patients.
