ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) –  Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss the evolving regional situation, with Pakistan calling for restraint and renewed diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions.

According to the Foreign Office, Ishaq Dar urged Iran and the United States to pursue de-escalation in line with the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and encouraged both sides to exercise maximum restraint.

He said dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving disputes and ensuring lasting peace, reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to playing a constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.

The Foreign Office said Ishaq Dar and Abbas Araghchi also agreed to remain in close contact over the evolving regional developments.
