Summary Security forces say 75 militants have been killed in ongoing operations across Balochistan following attacks on police stations since July 5.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Security operations are continuing in the Mangi Dam and Khuzdar areas of Balochistan, with security sources claiming that 75 militants have been killed since July 5.
According to security sources, 'Operation Shabban' was launched by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) and Balochistan Police after a militant attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station.
The sources said the scope of the operation had been expanded through coordinated ground and aerial missions targeting militants in rugged mountainous terrain.
They added that 26 suspected militants were killed on July 6 and 7, while another 13 were reportedly killed during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of militants killed in Operation Shabban to 39.

Separately, security sources claimed that an alleged militant attack on the Zaidi Police Station in Khuzdar was foiled on Wednesday morning.
According to the sources, security forces killed eight militants during the immediate response, while five to six more militants were reportedly killed during follow-up helicopter operations.
Security sources further stated that a total of 75 militants had been killed since July 5 during Operation Shabban and other intelligence-based operations carried out across the province.
