Assets of Senate nominees from Punjab Babar Awan, Aitzaz Ahsan, Zulfiqar Khosa and Zaffarullah have been challenged in the election commission.Earlier, the details of newly elected Senators’ assets submitted to Election Commission were aired on Dunya News.Baber Awan has assets worth Rs 20.5 million in Spain, while Aitzaz Ahsan and his wife have 27 bank accounts. Zulfiqar Khosa of PML-N pays tax of Rs 7000 a year.According to the asset detail submitted to the Election Commission, Zulfiqar Khosa owns 99 acres of land and pays agricultural tax worth Rs 7000 a year. He has also Rs 0.7 million in his bank account. Aitzaz Ahsan owns 800 and his wife 400 kanals of land. Aitzaz has 13 bank accounts which contain Rs 100.85 million. His wife has Rs 15 million in 7 bank accounts.Babar Awan, apart from property worth Rs 20.5 million in Spain, has two vehicles, agricultural land worth Rs 20 million, bank accounts containing Rs 70.78 million and investment in a bank and private company worth Rs 30.40 million. Babar Awan also owns a home in Islamabad worth Rs 30 million and an office in Lahore worth Rs 2 million. PML-N’s Zafarullah Dhandhla has Rs 0.5 million, two vehicles and 594 kanal of land. He pays agricultural tax of Rs 3000.
