KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Sindh government has decided to formally convert its employment pilot initiative, "I Work for Sindh," into a permanent government programme.

An important meeting of the Information Department was held under the chairmanship of Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, during which a comprehensive strategy was agreed upon to make "I Work for Sindh" more effective, integrated, and technologically advanced.

The meeting also discussed ways to more effectively connect young people with public- and private-sector employment opportunities through the platform.

Sharjeel Memon said that "I Work for Sindh" has become an effective digital platform for connecting job seekers with employers. He said that more than 4.8 million people have visited the platform.

He added that 113,000 candidates have registered on the platform, while 670 companies are also registered. There are currently 11,100 active job openings, and a total of 20,800 jobs have been posted. Sharjeel Memon further stated that more than 419,000 job applications have been submitted through the platform to date.

Sharjeel Memon said that the portal will soon introduce a career counseling service provided by industry experts. Through live career counseling sessions, young people will be able to receive direct guidance and advice on their career paths.
