MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) –The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly session has been convened for today, where a budget worth more than Rs286 billion will be presented.

The budget session of the assembly is scheduled to begin at 11am, with Finance Minister Qasim Majeed set to present the financial plan.

According to sources, salaries and pensions are likely to be increased by 7 percent in the upcoming budget.

Sources said Rs36 billion has been allocated for the development budget, while more than Rs250 billion has been earmarked for the non-development budget.

The proposed allocations also include Rs57 billion for education and Rs25 billion for the health sector.
