Summary A writ petition has been moved in IHC for arrest of alleged killer of Shahbaz Bhatti.
The court has sought an explanation from joint investigating team within 15 days.A two-member bench of Islamabad High Court led by Chief Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan conducted hearing of the petition moved for arrest of accused Ziaur Rehman.The defence counsel argued that the accused Ziaur Rehman was in Dubai at the time of occurrence. In this regard, all the proofs of his departure and presence are present for evidence that could be presented for evidence. The police have arrested Ziaur Rehman with red warrants on the statement of a priest John Alexander.The counsel also said that another accused Abid Malik also has been arrested without any reason and police have succeeded in getting his remand. The latter also has been arrested without any proof, the counsel for the defence contended.
