LAHORE (Dunya News) - A five-year-old boy was killed when he accidently fell into an open manhole in Sundar area of Lahore on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, five-year-old Hassan Amir was playing in the street near his house located in Maraka Quarters area of Sundar when he accidently fell into the open manhole.
Residents of the area pulled the child out of the manhole in critical condition on self-help basis and shifted him to hospital where he died during treatment.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken notice of the death of a child who reportedly fell into an open manhole in the city.
The CM sought an immediate report from the relevant authorities regarding the tragic incident and directed them to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of the child’s life, CM Maryam Nawaz extended her heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family.
