Summary Punjab Assembly budget session starts June 16, featuring new budget, supplementary estimates, finance bill, and fiscal risk statement presentation
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The agenda for the Punjab Assembly’s budget session has been issued, with the session scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 16, at 2pm.
According to the agenda, the provincial government’s budget for the upcoming financial year will be presented during the session. The budget speech will be delivered by the provincial minister for parliamentary affairs.
The assembly will also take up the approval of the supplementary budget for the financial year 2025-26, while the provincial finance minister will present the Finance Bill 2026 before the house.
In addition, a notification regarding amendments to the Punjab Sales Tax on Services Act 2012 will be tabled during the session.
The assembly will also be presented with the Fiscal Risk Statement 2026-27, which will outline potential financial risks and the government’s fiscal management strategy.
