ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan has restored the right of defence of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder in a defamation case filed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The decision marks a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings between the parties.

A three-member bench of the apex court, by a 2-1 majority, set aside the verdicts of both the trial court and the High Court and approved the review petition filed by the PTI founder. The court also nullified the earlier decisions related to the case.
