Summary Young Doctors Association boycotted all services at government hospitals except emergency wards in the province
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Acid attack on lady doctor inside Quetta’s Civil Hospital triggered anger among doctors and hospital staff, prompting the Young Doctors Association (YDA) to announce a boycott of all out-patient departments across Balochistan.

In protest against the acid attack on their female colleague, the young doctors organized a protest rally in Quetta. The protesters chanted slogans against the Balochistan Health Secretary and the Medical Superintendent (MS) of Civil Hospital, demanding better protection for doctors.
They also called for the suspension of the Balochistan Health Secretary, the MS, and the security in charge of Civil Hospital.
Balochistan's Home Affairs Adviser, Babar Yousafzai, in a statement said that the Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti would meet with the doctors upon arriving in Quetta today (Monday), adding that the government would accept their legitimate demands.
According to the initial medical report, Dr. Mah Noor, who was the victim of an acid attack, is out of danger and in satisfactory condition. She is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Karachi.
Meanwhile, the Balochistan Chief Minister has announced a civil award for Abdul Razzaq Tareen in recognition of his bravery in helping save the female doctor's life.
