DUSHANBE (Dunya News) - Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni in Tajikistan on Friday, where the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, including border security and regional stability.

During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on enhancing security cooperation along the Pakistan-Iran border, improving border management, curbing illegal activities and addressing the overall security situation in the region.

The two ministers reaffirmed their commitment to expanding collaboration in the field of internal security and strengthening coordination between their respective law enforcement agencies.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan attaches great importance to close relations with Iran and remains committed to promoting peace, stability and mutual cooperation in the region.

Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni also underscored the need to further strengthen bilateral security cooperation to effectively address shared challenges.

The two sides agreed to maintain close coordination and continue joint efforts to improve law and order in border areas while working together to tackle common security concerns.
