Government considers salary, pension hike proposals in upcoming budget
Sources said the agenda for both parliamentary sessions is expected to be issued within the next few days ahead of the formal commencement of budget proceedings.
The upcoming National Assembly session holds significance as the federal government is set to unveil the budget for the next financial year amid ongoing economic challenges and consultations on fiscal measures.
It is pertinent to mention that more than 60 members of parliament travelled to Saudi Arabia this year to perform Hajj and are expected to return to Pakistan during the early days of June.
The return of lawmakers is likely to ensure broader parliamentary participation during the crucial budget session and related debates in both houses of parliament.
