Summary Talal Chaudhry inaugurated Islamabad’s Ataturk Avenue expansion project, saying the upgraded road infrastructure would improve traffic flow while preserving environmental standards.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Monday inaugurated the Islamabad Ataturk Avenue expansion project while representing Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony in the federal capital, Talal Chaudhry said the Ministry of Interior was moving towards a modern, secure and greener Islamabad in line with the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
He stated that the width of Ataturk Avenue had been expanded from 24 feet to 52 feet, adding that the project would significantly improve traffic flow in the area.
The minister said the scheme had been completed in accordance with the federal government’s infrastructure vision while ensuring that all trees along the route were preserved.
Talal Chaudhry further noted that the Ataturk Avenue project included modern lighting, drainage systems, walkways and enhanced safety arrangements.
He added that environmental protection remained a top priority in all development projects undertaken by the government.
