Summary Supreme Court has accepted unconditional apology of the FIA Director General.

The court has also ordered to take action against the petitioner Pervez Hasan over bribing Khurram Rasool.Three-member bench of the Supreme Court led by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry conducted hearing of the Khurram Rasool fraud case.The FIA Director General Tahsin Anwar prayed the court for unconditional apology. The court not only accepted his request for apology but also ordered to remove contempt of court case against him.Chief Justice remarked that people offer the officials to accept bribery for undue relief and relaxation and directed the FIA to conduct an inquiry against the petitioners. The petitioner’s counsel Rashid A Rizvi said that Khurram Rasool is approaching the PM Secretariat for undue relief.At this, the court said that the accused Khurram Rasool has been arrested and an honest officer of the FIA is conducting an impartial inquiry into the matter. In this regard, another case is also under trial in the lower court, the Chief Justice said.
