ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday named the candidates for the forthcoming Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Elections 2026.

According to a notification issued by the party’s Central Secretariat and signed by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan, the party has finalised candidates for 23 constituencies across Gilgit-Baltistan.

PTI candidates include Muhammad Ilyas from GBA-1 Gilgit-1 constituency, Atique Pirzada from GBA-2 Gilgit-II, Syed Sohail Abbas from GBA-3 Gilgit-III, Zulfiqar Ali Behshti from GBA-4 Nagar-I, and Naik Naam Kareem from GBA-6 Hunza.

In Baltistan division, Raja Muhammad Zakaria Khan Maqpoon was awarded the ticket for GBA-7 Skardu-I, Dr Muhammad Shareef for GBA-10 Skardu-IV, Syed Mohsin Zaidi for GBA-11 Kharmang, and Advocate Muhammad Hassan Shigri for GBA-12 Shigar.

For Astore, PTI nominated Shahida from GBA-13 Astore-I constituency.

In Diamer district, the party awarded tickets to Noshad Alam for GBA-15 Diamer-I, Syed Abid Iqbal for GBA-16 Diamer-II, Haji Kaman for GBA-17 Diamer-III, and Ayoub Qureshi for GBA-18 Diamer-IV.

From Ghizer, Sher Azeem Khan was nominated for GBA-19 Ghizer-I, Nadeem Raffique for GBA-20 Ghizer-II, and Raja Jehanzeb for GBA-21 Ghizer-III.

In Ghanche district, Muhammad Akhtar Khan was nominated from GBA-22 Ghanche-I, Abdur Raheem from GBA-23 Ghanche-II, and Sadaqat Hussain from GBA-24 Ghanche-III constituency.
