BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) – A dignified ceremony was held at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Bahawalpur Garrison to commemorate the completion of one year of the victory of Marka-e-Haq, with senior military officials, soldiers and participants paying tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country.
The ceremony began with the Corps Commander Bahawalpur laying a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial and offering Fateha for the departed souls of the fallen soldiers. The event reflected a deep sense of national pride and remembrance as participants honoured the sacrifices made during Marka-i-Haq.
A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a formal salute during the ceremony, adding to the solemn atmosphere of the occasion. Military personnel stood in tribute to the martyrs whose sacrifices, officials said, continue to inspire the nation and strengthen the spirit of national unity and resilience.
Special prayers were also offered for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs, as well as for the security, stability and prosperity of Pakistan. Attendees prayed for lasting peace and strength for the country and its armed forces.
