LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Cambridge International Education has cancelled an AS-Level Mathematics examination paper after it was leaked, announcing a replacement test for affected candidates.
According to the examination body, the leaked paper (9709/12) will not be used for grading. A resit examination has been scheduled for 9 June 2026 for all impacted students.
Cambridge confirmed that candidates in affected areas will be required to retake the exam, adding that no additional fee will be charged to students or schools for the replacement test.
The organisation stated that the results release date of 11 August 2026 will remain unchanged, while schools will receive further details by 15 May.
An investigation into the paper leak has been launched, with Cambridge working alongside law enforcement agencies to identify those responsible and ensure strict action is taken.
The body also warned that individuals found sharing exam materials could face permanent bans, while action is under way against groups involved in selling fake papers on social media.
Reaffirming its commitment to fairness and transparency, Cambridge urged students to stay focused on their remaining examinations.
