ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Earthquake tremors were felt in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, causing brief panic among residents, while no loss of life or property has been reported so far.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake measured 5.2 on the Richter scale.
The depth of the quake was recorded at 128 kilometres below the earth’s surface, while its epicentre was located on the Tajikistan-China border.

Initial reports confirmed that no casualties or material damage were reported following the tremors in the twin cities.
Earlier, tremors were also felt in Khuzdar district of Balochistan and surrounding areas, where the magnitude was recorded at 3.9. The quake caused panic among residents.
The depth of the earthquake in Khuzdar was 10 kilometres, with its epicentre located 62 kilometres southeast of Khuzdar.
