Summary Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider said serving the poor is his duty, inaugurated a solar water project in Attock and reaffirmed support for public welfare and PPP politics.

ATTOCK (Dunya News) - Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has said helping the poor remains his foremost responsibility, adding his conscience would not be satisfied if he failed to support the underprivileged while serving as governor.

Speaking during a visit to Langar village Ghundian in Attock, the Punjab governor received a warm welcome from residents and youth, who organised a motorcycle rally in his honour.

During the visit, he also inaugurated a solar water supply project established through personal efforts, with a large number of locals attending the ceremony.

Sardar Saleem Haider said the Pakistan Peoples Party would not leave the people of Attock alone and welcomed those joining the party, expressing confidence in the party’s political future.

He said the alliance between PPP and Pakistan Muslim League (N) was in the national interest and stressed the need for joint efforts to serve the people and resolve their problems.

The governor said obstacles created in welfare projects for Attock’s residents were against public interest, adding the PPP stands by its workers and remains committed to development.

He also expressed hope that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would one day become prime minister, while praising Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their role in regional diplomacy.
