ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The foreign ministers of Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Turkiye, Egypt, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Qatar have strongly condemned incursions by settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The ministers denounced repeated violations of the historical and holy sites in Jerusalem.

They specifically condemned the continued incursions by Israeli settlers and extremist ministers, under police protection, into Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The ministers reaffirmed that such provocative actions constitute a clear violation of international law and represent an unacceptable provocation to Muslims worldwide, as well as a serious violation of the sanctity of the holy city.

They reiterated that the entire area of Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif is solely a place of worship for Muslims.

The ministers also condemned the acceleration of illegal settlement activities, including Israel’s approval of more than 30 new settlements, describing them as a blatant violation of international law, including United Nations Security Council resolutions and the 2024 advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice.

They further denounced escalating settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including recent attacks on Palestinian schools and children, and called for those responsible to be held accountable.

The ministers stressed that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories and rejected any attempts at annexation or forced displacement of the Palestinian people.

They warned that such actions directly undermine the viability of a Palestinian state and the two-state solution, increase tensions, weaken peace efforts, and obstruct ongoing attempts to restore stability.
