Fraud case accused Khurram Rasool was produced in the court of Civil Judge Islamabad.FIA pleaded the court to grant 3-days physical remand of the accused. The investigation officer told the court that the accused and the plaintiff were engaged in a business of Rs 160 million.FIA also prayed the court to grant permission of examining the signatures of accused. The court accepted this plea but rejected FIA’s request of 3-day physical remand of accused and sent Khurram Rasool to jail on a 14-day physical remand.Counsel of the co-accused former member OGRA Mansoor Muzaffar also appeared in the court. He appealed to the court to discharge the case or send his client to jail on a physical remand as there was no sufficient evidence against Mansoor Muzaffar.FIA’s investigation officer told the court that the accused had promised to get LPG quota for the applicant but he later deceived. He pleaded the court that thorough investigation of the mater should be launched after the accused is discharged from hospital.Talking to media after the hearing, Khurram Rasool said the people who claimed Rs 760 million were now admitting Rs 160 million.
