PM in no mood of court contempt: Aitzaz

The counsel of Prime Minister in contempt of court case, Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan has said that the Prime Minister neither is in the mood of court contempt nor he violated any law by not writing the letter to Swiss Authorities.During interview with Dunya News program ‘In Session’, he said that military can take advantage,if the conflict among civil institutions would not be over.He added that if constitution provides immunity, then all the people should accept the rule. He said the only 198 head of states have the protection out of the seven billion people around the globe.He said that Yousuf Raza Gilani is not first Prime Minister of the country, who came in range of contempt of court. As a matter of fact five Premiers of Pakistan were served notices for the contempt of court including Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Muhammad Khan Janejo, Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif and Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani during their tenure.He said that now a day he is getting the preparedness for the case. He said that the Supreme Court has made the decision in haste as his arguments were not completed in the court. He said that Prime Minister would decide to use his right of appeal.“President Zardari has a legal immunity and there is not any harm in writing letter, but Prime Minister did not commit any contempt of court by doing so. If the letter is written, then the court would has to face embarrassment. The implementation of the court decision after he would be no more President”, he added.He said that arresting Judges alongwith their children was the contempt of court .Prime Minister Gilani is a soft spoken man and he did not commit any contempt.He said that the court gave very reputable and highly regarded verdicts but judges are also human beings and they can do any mistake by delivering any bad judgment. The clash between civilian institutions should be come to an end. He said that apparently army is moving very carefully and all the legal ways have been halted for them, but when the roots would be hollowed then the fear of coming army into power could increase.He said that the Musharraf offered him very big posts. Now he is desirous to come in the Senate but the party would make any decision regarding this.
