RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) —  An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has ordered the arrest of Aleema Khan in connection with the November 26 protest case registered at Sadiqabad police station.

The accused, who is the sister of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), once again failed to appear before the court.

As a result, the ATC issued non-bailable arrest warrants against her for the 12th time.

The hearing was conducted by ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah, who rejected her plea seeking exemption from personal appearance.

Not participated in Feb 8 protest, admits Aleema Khan

The court directed authorities to arrest her and present her before the court by tomorrow.

The court adjourned further proceedings until Wednesday, February 18.

The two remaining witnesses in the case, including the investigating officers, have also been summoned to record their statements at the next hearing.
