Summary Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved import of one million tons of sugar.
A meeting of Economic Coordination Committee headed by Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh was held in Islamabad.The committee approved import of 1 million tons of sugar through private sector while it rejected the proposal of purchasing bales of cotton through Trading Corporation.A summary of GST exemption from the machinery imported by Water and Power Ministry for Nelam-Jhelum Hydro Power Project and Petroleum Ministry’s summary regarding petroleum policy were also discussed during the meeting.
