Search operation at Gul Plaza completed, claims Chief Fire Officer

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Chief Fire Officer Humayun Khan on Friday said that the search operation at the fire-hit Gul Plaza site has been completed while the debris removal work will be finished very soon.

Speaking to Dunya News, Humayun Khan said that the search operation of the building has been more or less completed. He said that all machinery of the KMC is now engaged in debris removal.

He informed that a large number of people and relatives of the missing persons were present at the site on the first day, which caused difficulties in the search and rescue operations.

Humayun Khan further informed that the debris removal operation will be accelerated during the night.
