KARACHI (Dunya News) - A shocking inside footage has emerged from the Gul Plaza in Karachi, showing people running in panic and chaos soon after the massive fire that broke out on Saturday night.

A citizen trapped inside the plaza recorded a video shortly after the fire started. People trapped in the building could be seen running in panic to save their lives. CCTV footage of the fire at Gul Plaza has also surfaced, with the recording time showing 10:22pm.

It is worth noting that an official report by the authorities regarding the fire has also been released, revealing the absence of proper fire safety arrangements in the building.

The report also revealed that the plaza did not have any adequate emergency exit routes, while narrow passageways in the building also created difficulties for rescue operations.

The building, which had the capacity for 500 shops, was housing around 1,200 shops, the report said.
