PESHAWAR (Zeeshan Kakakhel): The Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory (PFSL) has completed a verification report on videos related to the May 9 incidents in Peshawar.

According to the report, the involvement of KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, Kamran Bangash, Taimur Jhagra, and Irfan Saleem in the May 9 events has been verified. The forensic analysis was conducted by the Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory at the request of Peshawar Police, which submitted audio-visual material for examination.

The report is based on videos contained in a USB drive sent by Peshawar’s Sharqi Police Station. A total of 16 videos were analyzed frame by frame. The forensic experts found no evidence of editing in several videos, while indications of added individuals and text overlays were detected in some clips.

According to the findings, evidence of clip splicing was observed in two videos featuring Sohail Afridi and Irfan Saleem. Sohail Afridi’s profile photograph was compared with the individual appearing in the May 9 footage, confirming that both images belonged to the same person.

Similarly, Irfan Saleem’s profile picture was matched with his presence in the videos. The forensic report also confirmed that Kamran Bangash’s profile image corresponded with the person seen in the footage, while a clear match was found between Taimur Jhagra’s profile photograph and the individual appearing in the analyzed videos.

The report notes that the analysis was limited strictly to visual content. The forensic examination was carried out between December 19 and December 23, 2025.

The Anti-Terrorism Court had sought the forensic report in connection with the Radio Pakistan attack case. Peshawar Police had sent the relevant videos to the Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory for expert analysis.
