Cold, dry weather predicted in most parts of country

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), mostly cold and dry weather will prevail in most parts of the country during next few days.However, light rain is expected in some parts of Malakand, Hazara Division, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while light snowfall is expected in mountain areas. Cold wave engulfs upper Sindh while lower Sindh is partially less cold.Moreover, cold weather continues in Balochistan including Quetta while mountain areas are under the grip of cold winds. Cold weather also persists in most parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa.Minimum temperature recorded in different cities of the country was: Kalam -11C, Dir -10C, Malam Jabba and Hunza -4C, Astore -7C, Gilgit -2C, Kalat -8C, Islamabad -1C, Lahore 3C and Multan 6C.The Met Office further predicted that snowfall is expected in upper areas while weather will turn intense due to cold winds and extreme cold weather may also prolong in Peshawar.
