FBR claims netting accused in containers case

The cases against the accused from NLC and FBR have been sent to the NAB, revealed the official.Member FBR Hafiz Anis informed the NA standing committee on commerce that 197,000 containers were sent to Afghanistan and out of them there was no record of 77,000 containers sent between 2007 and 2010. FBR didn’t know what those containers were carrying owing to the special arrangement.The case against ex-member FBR Muneer Qurashi has also been sent to the NAB. Those involved in 560 missing containers have been identified, the NA body was told. NLC, FBR officials and private importers were involved in the scam. The cases against them have also been sent to the NAB, it was revealed.
