Summary Pentagon spokesman Capt John Kirby said US wants restoration of NATO supply routes through Pakistan.
Briefing the media, Pentagon spokesman Capt. John Kirby said ISAF commander Gen Allen is in constant contact with Pakistan in talks for restoration of NATO supply routes through Pakistan.However the Pentagon spokesman avoided to comment when asked that the talks are being held daily. He denied the claim that NATO is spending six times more to carry out supply through Russian or Central Asian States routes instead of routes in Pakistan.John Kirby claimed that only 2.5 percent cost has increased due to the blockage of the NATO supply line by Pakistan. In an earlier report Pentagon had said that the costs of supply to NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan have been increased six times after Pakistan blocked supply routes.
