Summary Protest against murder of Dunya News correspondent Mukarram Khan continued throughout country.
Mourners also recited the Holy Quran for the martyred journalist who gave his life for the sake of higher ideal.In this regard, a ritual of Qul was observed at his residence in which a large number of journalists including Tribal Union of Journalists, Peshawar Union of Journalists and people belong to all walks of life participated.Journalists’ organizations demanded the government to arrest the people involved in the assassination of their companion and bring them to the court on priority basis.In this regard, a rally was organised by Balochistan Press Club attend by a large number of media persons who wore black bands on their arms and shouted slogans against the government.Likewise, journalists in Thal also staged protest demonstration against Mukarram’s killing and warned that they would observe hunger strike if the killers of Mukarram Khan were no arrested.In the same way, journalists in Nowshehra also raised voice against assassination of great journalist and demanded for formation of a judicial commission.Speakers said that government had failed to provide shelter to the journalist, adding that truth is being suppressed by satanic and terrorists for their vested interests.
