Summary Chairman Senate Farooq H Naek resented over the absence of the ministers in the upper house.
Farooq said that millions of rupees were being spent on one-day session and remarked that it is impossible to continue the session in such condition. He directed the ministers to appear in the session within fifteen minutes.Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar said that quality and maintenance standards of more than 25-year old planes were plunging PIA further in to crisis.Railways Minister Gulam Ahmad Bilour claimed, “About 400 locomotives should be provided to him. If railways department suffers loss after this, he should then be hanged.” Bilour insisted if he is provided proper engines and amount, he can run the department in an ideal way. However, he conditioned accountability with provision of engines.
