Summary Ex-CJ Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui has said that the resignation of PM would not resolve the problem.

The pardon by the court could only ease the tension, he said. While talking to a private TV channel Justice Siddiqui said on Wednesday if Barrister Aitzaz would succeed to prove that the contempt was not taken place, but he would has to satisfy the bench by telling the reasons that why the letter had not been written to Swiss courts so far to the court, then it is the prerogative of the court to forgive Prime Minister.Renowned lawyer Athar Minullah said that that to appoint Barrister Aitzaz as PM’s lawyer reflects the positive change in attitude of the government.“My viewpoint is clear that the verdict of the court has come. He said that writing letter to Swiss authorities has nothing to do with the immunity to the President. Attorney General repeated this many times that Zardari has legal immunity until then his is on the post of President”, he said by adding that Aitzaz Ahsan should play his role to avoid clash among institutions.Another lawyer Barrister Farooq Nasim said that there is not any precedent in the past that President had immunity in criminal case. The court gets guidance form the previous cases. He said that in the modern judicial system no one has immunity.
